Schools tell us that a warm coat isn’t just about staying warm — it’s about being ready to learn. And children can’t learn if they’re cold, uncomfortable, or self-conscious. We understand that poverty shouldn’t stand in the way of a child’s self-esteem or ability to learn. That’s why we’ve made it our mission to provide brand new coats to primary aged children from poor families. Research shows 1 in 3 primary school children in England is growing up in poverty (JRF, 2024), and we want to make a difference for each and every one of them.
